The General Administration of Food and Drug Administration reminds consumers that purchasing unregistered products poses a greater safety risk. The list of products that have obtained the registration of imported medical devices or passed the filing can be queried in the databases of "imported medical devices" and "first-class medical device filing information" in the "Data Inquiry" section of the State Food and Drug Administration website.
2. About health food related products
The newly revised Food Safety Law stipulates that health foods imported for the first time should be registered by the Food and Drug Administration of the State Council, and those that are supplemented with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients should be reported to the Food and Drug Administration of the State Council for record. In order to standardize the management of registration and filing of health foods, the State Food and Drug Administration has announced the "Administrative Measures for Registration and Recording of Health Foods", which will be implemented on July 1, 2016. At that time, health foods imported for the first time must apply to the State Food and Drug Administration for registration, and health foods supplemented with vitamins, minerals and other nutrients imported for the first time must be filed with the State Food and Drug Administration.
